How to check your propane cylinder for leaks

Leak testing is absolutely a must when connecting your propane cylinder to your barbeque

1. Make up a solution of liquid dishwashing soap and a little water.


2. With the barbeque valve turned in the OFF position and the cylinder valve turned in the ON position - Spread the soapy solution over all fittings, the hose and regulator.

3. Watch carefully for bubbles increasing in size or increasing in number. If you see bubbling occur - then you know you have a leak.


4. NEVER check for leaks with an open flame of any kind.

ANY sign of a leak and it must be repaired immediately before attempting to use your propane barbeque.
